Default Google Workspace settings are not secure settings. Hardening means configuring what's already available: MFA enforcement, external sharing controls, audit logging, DLP policies, third-party OAuth app restrictions, and role-based admin access so not everyone with a Google account has admin privileges. Most organizations running at defaults are carrying exposure they can't see. The audit takes a few hours; the remediation takes longer depending on what's there.

Google Apps Script runs automation natively inside the Workspace ecosystem — automated reporting from Sheets, document generation from templates, triggered notifications from Forms submissions, calendar management, and custom integrations with third-party APIs via HTTP requests. Gemini integration is available on eligible Workspace plans for AI-assisted drafting and summarization inside Docs and Gmail. We identify specific workflow problems and build against those — not general automation for its own sake.

User lifecycle management (provisioning new accounts, offboarding departing employees, transferring their Drive and email data), license management, security policy reviews, and responding to admin issues before they become incidents. The problems that hit organizations hardest — a former employee's Drive access that wasn't revoked, a shared drive that got accidentally deleted, a phishing attempt that worked because MFA wasn't enforced — are all preventable with consistent administration. Depends on your organization. Google Workspace is a better fit for organizations that live in the browser, prioritize real-time collaboration, and don't have legacy Microsoft infrastructure to maintain. Microsoft 365 is a better fit for organizations with heavy on-premise infrastructure, native Office app dependencies, or SharePoint workflows they've built around.
